Well, it sure was a successful and
exciting year for Celebration Farm! We've experienced great growth
over the past year and we have lots of new faces to welcome to our
family. I'd like to welcome The Jiangco family and their adorable
pony mare "Abbie", and also Lindsay Weick and her beautiful mare
Amelia -- we are looking forward to the summer when Lindsay is home
from college. I'd also like to welcome Allie Scoffield and her sweet
"Baby," I'm really excited to have them aboard! We have a few new
horses and I'd like to start by congratulating Laura Ozmun on the
purchase of "Long Dream" (aka "Remi"), the beautiful, black,
trakehner gelding. We've already had tremendous success with this
super, young horse and I look forward to an exciting future ahead.
Congratulations to Lyric Kite on her purchase of "Whodunnit" (aka "Dunnit"),
the two of them make a darling team and we hope they'll join us for
a show or two next year! As far as our show team success this year,
our riders and horses couldn't have made me prouder! Madison Edwards
and "The Prince and Me", were a huge success starting in the short
stirrup divisions and moving up to the beginner division in less
than a year. A few of their highlights included reserve champion
Short Stirrup equitation at their first horse show, winning the
Short/Long Stirrup equitation classic at Infinity Farm at Ledges
this summer, |
and finishing out the year with
a championship in the Beginner Equitation division winning every
class out of 25 horses! Laura Ozmun's "Long Dream" had huge
success with very limited showing, coming away with Champion or
Reserve at every horse show -- he'll be one to watch next year!!!
Sophie Phillips had a great season coming away with the tri-color
at every show on her lovely "Grand Jete" -- who ended up 4th
overall in the Open Hunters after attending only 2 horse shows! It
was exciting watching Corry Lane and Jordyn Zoul make their debut
in the jumper ring this year, Corry on "Sporting Tango" and Jordyn
riding her own "All Betts Are Off", with lots of really nice
rounds for them both. Corry was a jack-of-all-trades this year
showing multiple mounts in all three rings with lots of ribbons
including a 2nd in her first Children's medal over a spooky
course, and 2nd in the 15 - 17 equitation at Lamplight --
congrats! Noa Leibson also enjoyed riding a few different ponies
this year winning ribbons out of a big crowd at Lamplight, while
Hannah Leibson had success winning a 2nd place in huge company
this spring. Kara Wolfe has come a long way with her horse "Oh My
Stars Clyde" moving up from the Beginner to the Limit Hunters in
less than a year, and Hadley Bahr made huge strides on her pony
which included a beautiful Short/Long Stirrup classic ribbon at
Infinity Farm at Ledges -- great job girls! Last but certainly not
least, Kate Wichmann and her jumper mare "Supasta" were impressive
this year with their highlights including various championships as
well as winning the Jumper Classic at Infinity at Ledges, coming
away with 7th in the overall standings with limited showing --
WOW! They have already mastered the 3'9" jumpers and are looking
to broaden their horizons in 2010.................... I'd like to
thank all of the grooms, families, friends, veterinarians, and
riders that have supported Celebration Farm throughout the year,
you are an integral part of our success. With the holidays upon
us, we wish everyone a warm and wonderful holiday season, and we
look forward to a successful year ahead!
